Get MoneySmart this summer through these FDIC classes on consumer rights, credit, savings, checking, and so much more! Held at the CCRA offices, these classes are jammed packed with information that will help you leave this summer on a sound financial footing.

Washington Park Neighborhood Association High Tea

The Washington Park Neighborhood Association had a high tea the Saturday before Mother's Day to honor the mothers in the community. The Bradenton Police Community workstation was transformed into a high tearoom with china and fine linens.

13th Avenue Community Center Playground

The new 13th Avenue Community Center has recently finished construction, and will soon be open for business! Please have a look at these pictures of the new playground outside the center, which will soon be accompanied by a brand new basketball court, which is in the final stages of completion.

Norma Lloyd Park Arbor Day Celebration - April 30, 2010

The Florida Division of Forestry, Manatee County, the City of Bradenton, the Central Community Redevelopment Agency, and Keep Manatee Beautiful, celebrated National Arbor Day at Norma Lloyd Park on April 30th by planting trees to continue the collaborative landscaping and beautification efforts at the park.

This is the City of Bradenton's 17th year as a certified Tree City USA.

CCRA Has Joint Meeting With City Council and Downtown Development Authority

The Central Community Redevelopment Agency board and staff had a joint meeting with the City of Bradenton City Council and the Downtown Development Authority board and staff on April 26, 2010.

Both agencies presented on their projects to City Council, and redevelopment expert James Carras presented on the role of public private partnerships in redevelopment. The video of his presentation is below.
